the middle

i was going to write this giant explanation of what i've been doing this entire month and why my posts are so far between, but y'know what... naw. I'm not that guy. Hope every one's Thanksgiving was as cool as mine was. I'm thankful to anyone reads this at all, and for about a ga-billion other little things. :)

...okay. I know if i don't post anything, it looks as though i'm doing nothing at all. This entire MONTH seemed to slip through my fingers... and YES, i goofed off a bit too. BUT i firmly believe November will see some changes here and there. More stuff soon. Don't you forget about me. :)

B.I.Z.M.A.R.

A while back, i was invited to contribute to a crazy cool themed anthology book entitled "Bizmar", by the (sadly) now-defunct Young American Comics. The guidelines were that the story had to incorporate a Bunny, an Insect, a Zombie, a Monkey, an Alien, and a Rabbit. I had this story completely penciled, with no word balloons or dialogue... that is until i found myself (as usual) on the phone with Chris Yambar, who "wrote" this with only me describing what was happening in the panels. He then suggested it was like a Ray Johnson piece, which led to the subtitle. For those of you who may not know Ray Johnson's work, please either do yourself the favor of either Google-ing him, or renting "How To Draw A Bunny". Doubtful that anyone recalls "The Bear Summer" comic from before, but this was actually intended as a "series" of comics... I'll post "The Bear Winter" and "The Bear Spring" when it's actually those seasons.
